Hobby & activity marketplace

Dubai, UAE · 90 days

25+ local-intent searches held in the top 5, against the maps pack, aggregators, and every academy in the city.

The situation

A discovery marketplace for classes and activities, competing for local intent against Google Maps itself, entrenched aggregators, and every individual academy bidding on the same phrases. Local search is winner-takes-most: outside the top handful of results, you don't exist.

What we did

We rebuilt the category and location templates around single, unambiguous intents, so every activity-plus-area combination had exactly one page built to answer it. Crawl paths and internal linking were restructured so authority pooled on the pages that convert, and every template shipped answer-first copy an engine can lift whole.

The entity work

Listings and profiles were rebuilt for consistency across every surface a machine checks: the marketplace and its partner academies now read as one coherent, verifiable local entity instead of a scatter of half-matching records.

What happened

Within one 90-day window: 4,890 clicks from 341K impressions, with more than twenty-five local-intent and city-level searches holding top-5 positions, shelf space local businesses usually have to rent through ads.

02

National consumer-lending institution

India · 5 months

1.47M organic clicks in five months, holding an average position of 6.2 across 76.8M impressions.

The situation

Regulated consumer finance is the hardest neighbourhood in search: YMYL scrutiny, aggressive competitors with nine-figure budgets, and money terms where a single position is worth real revenue. At this scale nothing is fixed page-by-page; every improvement has to be won at the template level.

What we did

We ran the engagement at template altitude: product templates, FAQ architecture, and editorial clusters engineered once and inherited by thousands of URLs. High-intent commercial pages were mapped to exact query intents, while an editorial layer captured the enormous research demand upstream of a loan application.

The entity work

Structured data, consistent organisation identity, and a support-content layer were consolidated so both Google and AI engines resolve the brand (and its customer-care surface) without ambiguity. The brand's own navigational ecosystem now retains users that once leaked to third-party apps.

What happened

1.47 million clicks from 76.8 million impressions in five months, at a site-wide average position of 6.2. Non-brand demand carries the growth: the category's most contested commercial terms deliver seven-figure impression counts, and the primary product templates alone draw over six million.

03

HR & compliance platform

United States · 9 months

From zero search presence to 2.74M impressions, with compliance answers ranking #1–2 against incumbents and .gov pages.

The situation

A young HR-compliance platform with a brand-new domain, zero authority, and a category owned by entrenched payroll suites, plus government sites that outrank almost everything. The classic startup search problem: nobody searches for you, and the things they do search for are locked up by giants.

What we did

We went where the incumbents were weakest: the specific, painful compliance questions founders and HR managers actually type at 11pm: terminations, state-by-state rules, filing deadlines. Every answer was written to be lifted: front-loaded, precise, current, and structured for both a stressed human and a retrieval pipeline.

The entity work

The company and its founders were built out as citable entities: profiles, listings, consistent identity, and founder-led expertise published under real names. Searches for the founders themselves now resolve to the brand, and brand searches that barely existed nine months ago now convert at the top of page one.

What happened

From a standing start to 2.74M impressions and a site-wide average position of 9. The platform now answers a set of state-level compliance questions at #1–2, ranks alongside government sources for time-sensitive filing queries, and owns a growing top-5 library on the questions incumbents never bothered to answer.

04

Industrial AI & automation manufacturer

India · global buyers · 8 months

The searches buyers run before writing an RFQ now surface the brand in the top 3, and its name resolves at #1.

The situation

Deep-tech B2B with six-figure deal sizes and a tiny, specific buyer: quality heads and plant engineers evaluating automation vendors. Almost no one searches the brand name; the deals hide inside unbranded category searches the company simply didn't appear for. Worse: the machines answering those searches (Google and LLMs alike) couldn't resolve who the company was.

What we did

Category-definition content built around how industrial buyers actually evaluate (inspection use-cases, quality methodology, and vendor-evaluation criteria), paired with an authority layer of consistent third-party signals, so the domain earned the right to rank for commercial category terms.

The entity work

Full entity consolidation: organisation identity, leadership profiles, listings, and cross-platform consistency, so every variant of the company's name (including misspellings) resolves instantly at #1, and the brand appears inside AI answers for its category.

What happened

10K clicks on 1.41M impressions in eight months. The category's vendor-selection searches (the ones an engineer runs the week before shortlisting) now surface the brand in the top 3 to 5, and its methodology content has become a steady source of engineer mindshare.

05

AI development studio

Global · 6 months

A new brand in the loudest category on earth: 0 → 1.13M impressions, now surfacing for the category's head terms.

The situation

An AI development studio launching into the most crowded, hype-saturated category in software. Every agency on the planet claims 'AI.' A new entity here starts below zero: no search demand for the name, no authority, and category head terms contested by thousands of rivals.

What we did

Sequenced entity-first growth: lock the brand's identity so machines resolve it unambiguously, then expand outward into the service categories. Content was built for the questions buyers ask when scoping an AI vendor, formatted for extraction into AI answers, the channel where this audience actually searches.

The entity work

The full digital footprint was constructed from scratch: social profiles, listings, directory presence, founder commentary, and consistent naming across every platform variant. Within months, every brand-name variant resolved to the company, and the entity began appearing for category searches.

What happened

From literal zero to 1.13M impressions in six months, with daily impressions climbing from nothing to roughly 15K. The studio now surfaces for the head terms that define its category (the searches every rival wants) and for the commercial long tail beneath them.

Strategy FAQs

Different starting lines,
different first moves.

What does a strong ecommerce or marketplace SEO strategy look like?
Template-first, not page-first. Map every high-intent category (and category-plus-location) combination to exactly one page, structure crawl paths so authority pools on the pages that convert, and write answer-first copy engines can lift whole. That architecture took an activity marketplace in Dubai to top-5 positions on more than 25 local-intent searches in 90 days, against maps results and entrenched aggregators.
Can a startup with zero domain authority outrank incumbents?
Yes, by answering the specific, painful questions incumbents ignore, and by building the founders as citable entities alongside the brand. A US HR-compliance platform on a brand-new domain went from zero to 2.74M impressions in nine months, ranking #1–2 on state-level compliance answers alongside government sources.
How is enterprise SEO different from SEO for smaller sites?
Scale changes the unit of work: you optimise templates that thousands of URLs inherit, not individual pages. In regulated categories like finance, YMYL scrutiny raises the bar for every one of them. Run at that altitude, a national consumer lender held a site-wide average position of 6.2 across 76.8M impressions, converting 1.47M organic clicks in five months.
How do B2B manufacturers turn SEO into pipeline?
By owning the searches buyers run before the RFQ list is written: vendor-selection and methodology queries. Category-definition content plus a consolidated entity took an industrial AI manufacturer into the top 3–5 for its category's buying searches, with every brand variant resolving at #1, so inbound now starts earlier in the deal, at higher quality.
How does a brand get cited in AI answers?
Three layers, in order: an entity machines resolve unambiguously, answer-ready content engines can lift verbatim, and third-party corroboration across sources they trust. That sequence is how a new AI development studio went from no search presence to surfacing for its category's head terms (and inside AI answers) within six months.
How long does SEO take to show results?
It depends on the starting line: 90 days moved a local marketplace, five months compounded at enterprise scale, and building authority from zero took six to nine. Technical fixes show first, in four to eight weeks; entity and authority work pays latest and longest. Search compounds: early months build the foundation, later months collect on it.
